Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD

Host of New Thinking Allowed · Parapsychology & Consciousness

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. Presently, he hosts the New Thinking Allowed channel on YouTube. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). He is also the Grand Prize winner of the 2021 Bigelow Institute essay competition regarding the best evidence for survival of human consciousness after permanent bodily death. He is Co-Director of Parapsychology Education at the California Institute for Human Science.

Dr. Helané Wahbeh is a clinically trained naturopathic physician with a Master of Clinical Research and Director of Research at IONS. Her studies focus on extended human capacities, mediumship, channeling, mind–body medicine, stress and the physiology of meditation. She is the author of The Science of Channeling and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals. Her work translates contemplative and noetic experiences into rigorous scientific frameworks accessible to clinicians, scientists and the general public.

Christina Puchalski, MD, MS, FACP, FAAHPM, is an international leader in the movement to integrate spirituality into health care. As founder and director of the George Washington Institute for Spirituality & Health (GWish), her pioneering work has been featured in print, on television and in numerous scholarly journals. She is the author of Time for Listening and Caring: Spirituality and the Care of the Seriously Ill and Dying (Oxford University Press) and co-author of Making Healthcare Whole (Templeton Press). A professor at GW's School of Medicine and board certified in palliative care and internal medicine, she directs an interdisciplinary outpatient supportive and palliative clinic in Washington, DC.

Haroldo Dutra Dias is a respected scholar, translator of the books of the Gospel from the original Greek with the Spiritist understanding, and one of the most influential international voices in contemporary Spiritist thought. With a doctorate in Linguistics and a career in law, he combines academic rigor with profound spiritual sensitivity. He lectures around the world on the philosophical, ethical and consoling dimensions of Spiritism, and is widely recognized for making complex teachings clear, practical and deeply human.

Dr. Alexander Moreira-Almeida is Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, Brazil, and founder of the Research Center on Spirituality and Health (NUPES). A leading international researcher on spirituality, mental health and the mind–brain relationship, he has chaired the WPA Section on Religion, Spirituality and Psychiatry. His peer-reviewed work investigates mediumship, near-death experiences and the clinical implications of spiritual experiences for healthcare.
